Thy Will Be Done

One early spring night a young man went for a walk in a garden. He had an important appointment the next day and knew that it was going to be the worst day of his life. But if the young man just skipped the appointment it would be as nice a day as any other. He prayed… the garden was the garden of the olive press and the young man was 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏, our Savior. His flesh wanted to do anything other than what He knew in the Spirit had to be accomplished the next day.

We are at a similar point. We have an appointment for testing and refinement. The tomorrow of these times may well be the worst of our lives. Our flesh wants to do anything else instead of going through the affliction, the testing, the offenses, the refinement. Our flesh wants to save itself and just go back to where we used to be in the world where it was so much easier. But our Spirit within us reminds us that what we are to do is for His glory. We have big decisions to make… now and through these remaining days, and we need wisdom for judgement to stay on the narrow path. Pray daily to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 to give wisdom and judgement, and for Him to direct our walk, our hands, our words, and our thoughts:

let us rejoice in all our days, in return for the days wherein Thou didst afflict us, the years wherein we saw evil. And look upon Thy servants, and upon Thy works; and guide their children. And let the brightness of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 our Aluhiym be upon us: and do Thou direct for us the works of our hands. (Psalm 89:15-17, LXXE)

For as our Savior said that night, so shall we to glorify Him: Not my will be done Father, but Thy will be done.
